The historic farm at Weybridge, Vermont has known the hoof beats of champion Morgan horses for over 150 years. The legacy began with a visionary philanthropist named Colonel Joseph Battell whose dedication and foresight undoubtedly helped save the Morgan breed from extinction. By deeding his farm and horses to the United States Government in 1907, he sought to perpetuate and promote America's first breed of horse: the Morgan.

For over fifty years, Battell's legacy has been carried on under the stewardship of the University of Vermont. With your help the legacy will continue. Consider becoming a Friend of UVM Morgans today.

Annual members are entitled to free admission to the UVM Morgan Horse Farm with the presentation of their membership card during tourism season from May 1st through October 31st. A letter with updated farm information will be sent twice yearly and members will also receive two free guest passes.
