Lab Projects: I am working on the Ad5-A24 Foot and Mouth Disease Virus Vaccine collaboration with Plum Island Animal Disease Center. For my senior thesis, I will be determining if cattle vaccinated with the vaccine develop antibodies against FMDV and the adenovirus vector, and whether the FMDV antibody level will be correlated with protection from clinical disease following live virus challenge.

Background: I am in my last year at UVM in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, pursuing a major in Animal Science with a pre-vet concentration and a minor in Microbiology. Upon graduation, I am hoping to enroll in vet school and go on to become a certified Veterinary Clinical Pathologist or researcher. This summer I went to Plum Island Animal Disease Center to complete the FMDV portion of my Honour’s College Thesis.
