Location: Minocqua, Wisconsin

The Northwoods Wildlife Center is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1979. Their facility is focused on wildlife rehabilitation and education. Their internship program gives college students and recent graduates an in-depth look at what it takes to run a non-profit wildlife center. Interns are involved in everything from rescue, rehabilitation, and release of the 500-700 native animals they admit each year, as well as being responsible for giving educational tours and ecology programs to thousands of individuals. They offer roughly 15 internships each year, split into three time frames: Spring (April 1 to May 31), Summer (June 1 to August 31), and Fall (September 1 to October 31st).
