Internships and associates offer hands-on training in the conservation and preservation of cranes and their wetland habitats.
The Aviculture Internship in the Crane Conservation Department is available to junior and seniors. This is a 6 month internship where interns receive intensive hands-on training in the care and management of endangered cranes, including general husbandry, handling techniques, behavior, captive reproduction, incubation, chick rearing, artificial insemination, health care, and genetic management. This position provides training that provides skills that help interns qualify for permanent jobs in their field. The stipend is $350/month with housing provided on our site.
