Audubon Vermont
offers many unique internship and volunteer opportunities throughout
the year. Internships are offered in both Conservation and
Environmental Education. Internships vary depending on current projects
and on the time of year.
A minimum of 3 months at approximately 15 hours per week is required.
Some internships receive a small stipend but most do not. College
credit can be given. Applicants should have a strong natural history
background.
Conservation Internships include summer fieldwork at Vermont's
Important Bird Areas (IBA) and focus on Common Terns, Osprey, and bird
banding as well as other avian projects. In the fall and winter,
interns may work on a variety of topics most of which involve the
Vermont IBA Program.
