The Alaska Raptor Center is the leading medical treatment center for eagles and other birds of prey in Alaska.  Patients and residents of the Alaska Raptor Center include bald eagles, golden eagles, hawks, ravens, falcons, owls and other wild birds.

The Alaska Raptor Center provides medical treatment to about 200 birds each year.  In addition, we help educate more than 40,000 visitors and 6,000 schoolchildren around the nation about raptors and habitat preservation.

The Alaska Raptor Center, a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization, runs on memberships, visitor admissions, donations, and volunteerism.  Ten year-round employees include a veterinarian, rehabilitators, and bird trainers.  They are assisted by more than 140 volunteers per year, whose combined hours (over 12,000) equal six full-time staff.
