NOFA is an organization in Richmond, VT with approximately 700 members with over 180 diversified farms certified organic, which produce a variety of agricultural products including milk and livestock. NOFA-VT has a Vermont Apprenticeship and Willing Worker Program which places volunteer/interns on member farms, usually in the May-September period.
In addition NOFA also offers students an opportunity to work on special animal-related research and development projects, e.g., development of Resource Packets for farmers on parasitism, homeopathic therapies, organic grain suppliers, and other livestock-related topics.
