Monsanto Dairy Business offers a unique opportunity for students to assist with the sales and marketing of POSILAC bovine somatotropin. POSILAC is the first biotechnology-derived animal production product approved by the Food and Drug Administration and has been commercially available since 1994. It is sold to dairy producers using a direct-market approach.
Students interested in this internship should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, have a solid competency with computers, and should hold a appreciation for, or an interest in, the dairy industry. Time management skills, teamwork experience, and an enthusiastic attitude will be essential. Students with an Ag Business, Ag Communication, Animal Sciences, or Food Sciences focus are encouraged to apply.
Interns receive sales, product, and computer training and work directly with POSILAC customers, prospective customers, and industry professionals. This is a paid internship. A company car, notebook computer and expense account will also be provided. Benefits will not be included. Housing during the internship will be the responsibility of the intern.
Interviews for this internship occur in the fall for the following summer. See Fran Kinghorn for more information about the interviews, and apply online: http://www.monsanto.com/careers/pages/jobsearch.aspx
