Location: St. Albans, Vermont.
Farm Credit Fellowships are offered every year. Below is the text of an e-mail message received on Feb 25, 1999. If interested contact the provider directly, or you may contact Fran Kinghorn in ASCI or Quentin Dombro in CDAE, for additional information.
"My name is Mike Farmer
and I'm a loan officer for Farm Credit (and a UVM grad). We have
a program called Farm Credit Fellows that we sponsor that allows UVM Juniors
to spend a week in any one of our offices during the summer and a 3 day
trip to New York City for a tour of the financial district. I'm looking
for a few students and wondered if you have any animal
science majors who may have some CDAE classes under their belt. Quintin Dombor is my campus contact but I'm also trying to find some more students. I think the fellowship also gives 3 credit hours.
Right now I think I have only one from UVM and would like a total of 4. We normally get about 15 students from Cornell each year. We have a Heavy concentration of loan volume in dairy and quite often have dairy science majors interested in the program.
Please give me a call here in St. Albans if you have any questions. Thanks."
Michael K. Farmer
