New England Wildlife Center is offering undergraduate and graduate level internships in wildlife medicine and natural history. The Center is a nonprofit wildlife animal hospital located in Bare Cove Park, Hingham, Massachusetts, USA.

Bare Cove Park is a town park bordering the estuary of the Weymouth Back River. Hingham is a coastal community approximately 15 miles south of downtown Boston, Massachusetts.

The Center hosts approximately 40-50 student interns each year, internships are variable in length and are free of charge. Housing is available on a limited basis for a fee of $200 a out-of-state residents and those instate students whose permanent addresses are west of Worcester, MA

Internship responsibilities are broad and demanding. The Center treats approximately 4,000-5,000 native and naturalized wild animals representing 225 species per year. Student interns perform as the primary work force of the Center. They are responsible for all aspects of the daily operation of a nonprofit wildlife animal hospital. All skills are taught to the students by full-time, on staff veterinarians, a certified veterinary technician, an office manager and a resource development officer.
