Location:  Apple Valley, Minnesota

Minnesota Zoo's mission is to connect people, animals and the natural world, which means they are dedicated to inspiring people to act on behalf of the environment. To accomplish this goal, they provide award-winning recreational, educational and conservation programs, locally, nationally and internationally. They are accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA).

Students interested in practical learning experiences, especially those considering careers in public service or zoology, are encouraged to apply to Minnesota Zoo's Internship Program. Applications are accepted year-round from Junior and Senior college students in a variety of program areas. All internships run 10-14 weeks, 30-40 hours a week, and are unpaid.

ASCI students interested in learning more about internships at the Minnesota Zoo should go to their website at and click on Biological Programs.
