Location:  Los Angeles, CA.

LA Zoo offers a non-paying internship during each of the fall and spring semesters as well as one during the winter and summer.  The internship is open to all majors but would greatly benefit those looking to enter one of the following three career fields:  psychology, management, or an animal care related field.

During the fall and spring semesters students must be available to work 15 hours per week.  Interns must also be able to work 2 weekend days per month.

For the winter and summer internships, students must be able to work 20 hours per week as well as two weekend days per month.

  • Basic office functions, including database management
  • Managing volunteer staff
  • Event planning/Maintaining professional relationships with staff and volunteers
  • Much more!
NOTE:  Application deadline is on the last day of the month prior to the start of the internship period.
