Location:  Bronx, New York.

Background:

  • This paid internship is offered in the spring, summer, and fall.
  • The internships are open to qualified graduate students.  However, consideration will be given to outstanding 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year undergraduate.
  • Candidates should possess a strong background in one of these areas:  Education, Biology, Natural History, Zoology, or Ecology.
  • Spring and fall interns will team-teach in our school and weekend programs for elementary school children.  Summer interns work in the Zoo's camp program.  Interest in wildlife and the ability to relate to children is essential.
  • Fall and spring interns must be able to work approximately 2 hours a week for approximately 18 weeks.  Summer interns must be able to work 30-35 hours a week for approximately 10 weeks.
