Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is a nonprofit organization that is devoted to the rehabilitation and release of orphaned, injured and sick wildlife. They are the largest wildlife rehabilitation center of this kind in Colorado, each year treating approximately 2,300 mammals and songbirds representing more than 135 different wildlife species.

An internship at Greenwood provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with many different wildlife species. Interns will learn skills such as handling techniques, cleaning and sterilization procedures, habitat enrichment, diets, food preparation, and feeding methods, and will assist experienced rehabilitation staff with treatment procedures.

Their internships are intended to provide experience and on-the-job training in basic rehabilitation skills, not to teach veterinary medicine.
