Internships & Careers

addante Vermont Institute of Natural Science - (Rose Addante)

"The learning opportunities at the Vermont Institute of Natural Science are a good match for individuals that learn by taking core knowledge they have and applying it in a hands-on experience. For those who want to increase their knowledge base, VINS offers opportunities to build a strong foundation of core knowledge about birds in general, and raptors specifically. The core curriculum is offered through numerous trainings for interns, staff and volunteer staff, and includes every aspect of raptor rescue and rehabilitation. Working in the raptor center affords opportunities to directly care for injured and recovering raptors and for those raptors (used for educational purposes) that are permanent residents at the rehabilitation center. The opportunity to learn about the overall operations of a non-profit wildlife rehabilitation organization, including the impact of mandated state and national wildlife policies, offers a practical experience in what it takes to run an organization like VINS."
