Program Description

This program is an academic summer study abroad program based in the Central American country of Belize.  Belize is the only English speaking country in Central America and has a vast natural heritage.  This is a unique study abroad program, particularly in regard to the ability to work with exotic animals.  Student coursework is very hands-on and includes sessions at farms and the Belize zoo.

Pre-veterinary students on this summer program will have an opportunity to study animal health and disease in large and exotic animals.  All courses will be taught in English at Galen University in San Ignacio, Belize.

Students will be housed in double-occupancy rooms at the Cahal Pech Village Resort.
