Location:  Arlington, VA
This internship is for students with strong communication and writing skills. Areas of work include but are not limited to writing, research, special project assignments, conference exhibition and coordination, and assisting the President, Vice President and Education Coordinator as needed.  May include limited travel.

The Alliance is a non-profit organization that serves as a partnership of individuals, companies and organizations that have joined together to help consumers better understand the role animal agriculture plays in providing a safe, abundant food supply to a hungry world. The Alliance provides a mechanism for those involved in animal agriculture to speak with one voice to ensure consistent, accurate messages are communicated to the public.

The Alliance mission is to support and promote animal agriculture practices that provide for farm animal well-being through sound science and public education.  In carrying out its mission, the Alliance undertakes activities to focus on bringing truthful, science-based information to consumers so the role of animal agriculture in feeding the world is better understood and appreciated.

Compensation:  yes (summer 2003: $1200/month)
Full-time position (40hrs/week)
From: as early in May as possible    To:  August (or whenever you need to get back to college)
