Whimsy Brook Farm has professionally bred, trained, and shown horses, and instructed riders of all ages for over 40 years. They are both a family-owned and operated working farm, as well as an educational institution. They teach and model the science of equine husbandry, they farm in an environmentally friendly way, and their riding lessons are based on the classical seat, be it dressage, hunt-seat, or western pleasure.

Whimsy Brook Farm has served as an educational institution and intern site since 1972. They regularly provide tailored paid and unpaid internships for high school Agriscience students, undergraduate pre-vet students, and graduate training veterinarians. They provide training in equine management and equine facility management, as well as equine restraint, first aid, medical maintenance, dentistry, saddle-fitting, and the use of complimentary therapies such as homeopathy, acupuncture, Class IV laser therapy and Pulsed Electro Magnetic therapy.
