Prima Dogga

Location:  Shelburne, Vermont

Prima Dogga is a family-run boarding and daycare facility for dogs and cats. They have been in operation since 2009 after taking over an existing business. They live and work on the property, but the kennel is in a former dairy barn. They provide daycare M-F and board both dogs and cats.

Intern responsibilities:

• daily cleaning and animal care tasks
• assisting with dog introductions for playgroups
• helping monitor canine groups for appropriate play, breaking up scuffles and helping ensure a safe environment
• help providing mental stimulation for the boarding dogs and cats, some of whom do not go in playgroups
• assisting in dog training and/or behavior classes if necessary

Some dog handling or animal care experience is desirable but not required.

Interns are acepted all year long, however, only summer interns are paid.
