The UVM Horse Barn Co-op
UVM Farm Halloween Barn
Monday, October 26th from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
Young kids and their friends and family are invited to the UVM Horse Barn for a fun-filled evening of Halloween activities and trick-or-treating. Students and horses are dressed up for the event, so please wear your costumes and bring a bucket for candy! We are asking for a $3 donation per child to help with the cost of running this popular event.
Parking will be at Gutterson (on west side of Spear Street just north of the farm) with a shuttle bringing attendees to and from the farm. Handicap parking will be available at the farm. Any questions, please email Jenny.Wilkinson@uvm.edu
A "hands-on" educational opportunity
UVM Cooperative Horse Barn is an educational facility in which students
have the opportunity to learn skills such as equine management,
teamwork and leadership while bringing their horse with them to college.
Membership in the UVM Horse Barn requires a large time commitment as
well as a willingness to work with others to achieve the common goal of
running the facility in conjunction with the UVM educational
mission. Members of the UVM Horse Barn pay a decreased boarding fee and
are responsible for the care of their own horse as well as additional
chores and time spent at the barn completing horse watch duties and
attending meetings. Students are also largely involved in the
management and decision-making processes within the Horse Barn.
