Cooperative for Real Education in Agricultural Management (CREAM)
Homecoming weekend, October 5th and 6th, 2013 saw a BBQ celebration of 25 years of the CREAM program. About one hundred past and present CREAMers, industry representatives, and Department of Animal Science faculty and staff turned out, in of all things, a horse arena.
Speeches were delivered by current CREAM advisor Dr. Norm Purdie, founder and 18-year advisor Dr. James "Gilly" Gilmore, and College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Dean Tom Vogelmann who highlighted the past, present and future of the CREAM program. Howard Lincoln, UVM Foundation Senior Development Officer, discussed UVM's plans to renovate the Miller Barn and encouraged alumni to make a commitment. Laurence "LCJ" Jost, UVM '80, did just that by coming forward and presenting Dean Vogelmann with a check for $2,500. View photos from the event.
