Great Cookie Dunk, held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Battery Park in
Burlington, was a fund raiser for the Vermont Make-a-Wish Foundation
and Keep Local Farms. The event broke the Guinness Book of World Records for the most people dunking a cookie into milk simultaneously.
Local Farms is an education campaign created by the New England Dairy
Promotion Board to promote dairy farming and farmers and how they care
for their cows, the environment, and give back to the local economy.
CREAMers Danielle Semick, Katie Kiger, and Shannon
Emmons were on hand as dairy ambassadors. They brought a calf
with them to help educate people about what dairy farming is all about
and help them understand more about where their food comes from.
Apparently the most commonly asked questions the CREAMers answered
about the calf were, "What's her name?" and "Is she a deer?"
Sponsored by the New England Dairy Promotion Board.
