Dr. James Gilmore "Gilly" Retires!
Dr. Gilmore and his grandson

On September 1, 2006, after 31 years with the University of Vermont, Jim Gilmore retired in order to spend more time on the golf course and with his family. He's pictured above with his grandson, Riley.

Dr. Gilmore taught many courses throughout his years at UVM as an associate professor, most recently Animal Genetics & Breeding and Dairy Cattle Judging as well as the CREAM program. The students in the CREAM program have had the pleasure of having Dr. Gilmore as their faculty advisor since its inception in the fall of 1988. He has put his heart and sole into the CREAM program and will be missed by all.

Enjoy your retirement, Gilly!
