The 2007 Robert L. Bickford, Jr., Keystone Award in Nutrition and Food Sciences was awarded to Dr. Adam L. Lock. Dr. Lock will receive a $10,000 grant to be used to support his proposed research project focusing on "...improving our understanding of the formation of bioactive fatty acids in the rumen, in particular trans fatty acids..." and to provide a substantive research experience for Courtney Preseault, an undergraduate student enrolled in the Department of Animal Science The award was presented to Dr. Lock and Courtney at the College's Honors Day ceremony held on April 20th.
